I have served as Mayor of Webster since 2015, and my current term ends in 2022. I also serve on multiple boards, as Tuckaseigee Water & Sewer Authority's Chairperson, Jackson County Comprehensive Planning, Southwest Commission, (SWC) Rural Planning Org., Mountain Projects, and NC Mayors' Association. I earned a M.S. and B.S. in Psychology at WCU. I've lived in Jackson County for 45 years, 34 years married to my husband, Scott Rodes, and together we raised two adult children in Webster. I serve because of my love for and commitment to the betterment of my town and rural community in the western North Carolina mountains.
