NADCP's Advancing Justiceis pleased to announce the launch of the Journal for Advancing Justice, funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance at the U.S. Department of Justice. This new journal provides justice and

public health professionals, policymakers, academics, scholars and researchers a forum to share evidence-based and promising practices on the most pressing issues facing the justice system today.

Released at the 2018 NADCP Annual Training Conference, the journal's inaugural volume is dedicated to "Identifying and Rectifying Racial, Ethnic, and Gender Disparities in Treatment Courts." The six scholarly articles contained in Volume I include cutting-edge findings from the largest multisite studies conducted to date on disparities in treatment courts. In addition, outcomes are reported from experimental and quasi-experimental evaluations of culturally proficient interventions designed to neutralize barriers faced by some racial and ethnic groups in treatment courts and blunt the piercing impact of racial discrimination and implicit cultural biases.
